Star Wars Battlefront will be getting a new Turning Point mode as part of the free The Battle of Jakku DLC, which has been outlined in a post over on the official website.

"Turning Point is a vast Star Wars Battlefront game mode for 40 players, included in The Battle of Jakku. This mode portrays the efforts of the Rebel Alliance to defeat the Empire following the Battle of Endor...

At the edge of the map, the Empire has constructed a make-shift base as well as smaller fortifications strewn across the landscape. Following an emergency landing, the Rebels need to locate the enemy bases to attack and take control of them all.”

The Battle of Jakku also promises to provide fans with a glimpse of the planet Jakku 29 years before its appearance in the highly-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The Battle of Jakku DLC will be made freely available to those who pre-ordered Star Wars Battlefront on December 1st and a week later for everyone else.

I'm nof gonna say everybody should get this game for $60 or even buy the season pass. But its a fun PvP game and the offline stuff is hours of genuine entertainment. It may not be the game people dreamed for but its good.

The next 3 or 4 DLCs should be free given the game at launch was rather lacking in content. But I wonder how long EA will keep up the freebies.

Looks like they ripped a page straight from the book of Destiny, regarding content.

Only issue with the game is the lack of maps. Otherwise it's a solid and fun shooter. You don't need a single-player so don't even go there.

I really think most people complaining about Battlefront have not actually played it. It is an amazing game, it is some what lacking in content but it is no where near as bad as some of you guys have made it out to be

So your telling me that this was not available to be included at launch ? SMDH. Gamer's need to make a stand. We keep supporting this kind of practices, companies will just keep getting worse.
