Atlus Announces Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final for Nintendo 3DS - News

by Jared Katz , posted on 05 October 2015 / 2,720 Views

Atlus has revealed that it is developing Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final for the 3DS. While the name may suggest that this is a remake, it's actually a new game, albeit one based on the setting of SMT IV.

Most of the same staff from SMT IV will be working on the game, but Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final will be directed by Satoshi Oyama (the chief programmer of SMT IV and the Digital Devil Saga games).

More details will be announced on October 11th, via a NicoNico livestream. The game is scheduled to be released in Japan in February.

The naming is super confusing. They really should change it. Something like "Final saga" or something would alreay do. Everyone is gonna thinkthis is just a version with extras.

That name is going to confuse a lot of people. It reads like a Final Mix version...
