Torchlight 3 Not Coming Anytime Soon, Developer is 'Burnt Out' - News

Fans of the Torchlight franchise will be disappointed to hear that Torchlight 3 won't be released anytime soon, as the developer is currently "burnt out" on the series.

"We’re just burnt out," Runic Games President Marsh Lefler told IGN. "Let’s admit it, Diablo 3 is killing it right now. Diablo 3 is a really fun game. Not that Torchlight 2 isn’t a fun game, it is, but it’s just different. For us to try to compete with Diablo 3? We weren’t trying to compete before."

"We just needed a little break [to focus on] something we love," he added.

Bring it to mobile and PSN and see how much cash rolls in. Believe me, you'd already have my money!

Not entirely sure it'd work great on mobile.

A lot of people, despite having bought Diablo 3 and spent tons of hours in it, would probaly still say Torchlight was a better game.

I wouldn't. RoS pushed it past tl2.

D3 is actually supported beyond one month.

I saw this headline yesterday, but didn't pick up on the pun until today. It sounds like the guy being interviewed definitely didn't mean it as a pun, but I sure hope the article's author did.
