There's No Level Cap in Fallout 4 - News
by Jared Katz , posted on 06 August 2015 / 4,887 ViewsIf you hate level caps in RPGs then rejoice - Fallout 4 will not have one. Bethesda confirmed the news via Twitter:
To our fans who’ve asked: Fallout 4 doesn’t end when the main story is over and there is no level cap. You can keep playing and leveling.
— Bethesda Game Studios (@BethesdaStudios) August 6, 2015
Bethesda also confirmed that after you finish the main campaign you can still play through the game and explore the wastelands of Boston.
Fallout 4 is set to release on November 10th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

OH THANK THE LORD!!! That was the stupidest part of 3 and NV! Once you hit your cap there's little reason to keep exploring and fighting. It wouldn't have been so bad if hitting it didn't happen reeeeally easily. But this is fantastic news.
totally agree!!!!
But then again the game can't be balanced well. Either the enemies will scale with you forever (which defeats the point of leveling up anyway) or you will be insanely overpowered after a certain point - like in Skyrim, where once you reached level 30, you were virtually unkillable even on the highest difficulty. Wjere's the fun in that?
So... no level cap is not such a godsend...
Not necessarily. Morrowind didn't have scaled levels IIRC, and nothing forces Bethesda to keep a scaling level system, or that they won't cap the enemy levels or something.
Hopefully I can like this one. I've not liked any Fallout nor Elder Scrolls games. Everything about these games say I should love them but...
As in, no hard-coded level cap but limits imposed by the system just like in Bethesda's previous games, or truly no cap at all? Because Bethesda hasn't really had a real overall level cap even before.
Awesome news. I just hope they put some level 100 and higher, creatures in the game, for us to kill.
