Sega has released its earnings report for the quarter ending June 31, 2015. Revenue fell by 41 percent to 53 billion yen ($427 million). Sega also reported a loss of 7.9 billion yen ($63.6 million). This is compared to a profit of 5.1 billion yen a year ago.

Sega Entertainment Contents, which includes packaged and digital games, saw revenue increase four percent year-over-year to 41.9 billion yen ($337 million). Losses were also reduced to 739 million yen ($5.9 million), from 1.3 billion yen last year.

Sega's Pachislot revenue fell a massive 83 percent and posted a loss of 6.7 billion yen ($54 million), due largely to a lack of new releases.

Well, with the way they devalue their brand, its not surprising that they have run out of ideas for in-demand pachinko machines.

Sega should invest in a new IP. Called: Get A Brain. And find those upgrades fast.

Everything was pretty much expected from this report, except that massive drop in Pachislot revenue. I don't follow the Japanese gambling numbers but there was an expected drop. But 83%? headshake
