Spil Games Hires Ubisoft and Bigpoint Veterans - News

"These new roles bring experience and skills that underscore our commitment to quality in the mobile market," said Spil Games CEO Tung Nguyen-Khac. "We already have a superb team and we are now augmenting it to sharpen our focus on publishing the best in new mobile games and in optimising revenue."
Christian Godorr has been hired as the new director of game design and monetisation. He previously worked at Ubisoft Singapore as its director of monetisation and at Bigpoint Games for seven years where he worked his way up to game director.
"I established the fundamental assets for Bigpoint's success in virtual selling," said Godorr. "I completely understand the free-to-play business model and user monetization, revenue and scalability."
Jan-Michel Saaksmeier has been hired as the new head of licensing for mobile publishing. He previously worked at Bigpoint Games for six years as its live game director and head of publishing
"My particular talent is in spotting those with the potential to make it huge, and working with their developers to realise that potential," said Saaksmeier.
Spil Games runs more than 50 video game websites. The games on the majority of the sites are free-to-play and use flash.
