Splatoon Level Cap to be Increased in August Update - News

The level cap in Splatoon will be increased from 20 to 50 in the upcoming August update. The update will also add new modes and will improve matchmaking.
Two new ranked battle rankings will be added - S and S+. Sloshers and Splatlings will make their debut as two new weapon types, and 40 new items will be added to the in-game store.
Squad Battles will introduce a new way for fans to play the game, allowing friends to team up before playing Ranked Battle together as a team. Private Battles will also be added to the game, and will allow players to set up their own private lobbies.
The update will be available on August 6th.

Game keeps getting better and better!
Is the level going to to anything other than let you unlock new tiers of weapons? I wish there was more to it, or at least that you could choose to be matched by level in Turf Wars. Right now it kind of just shows who's played more.
