Square Enix has announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be making its way to the PC in early 2016 and to the PlayStation 4 during the holiday of 2016:

"Square Enix today announced its latest title in the critically acclaimed and award-winning Tomb Raider® series, Rise of the Tomb Raider ®, will be available for Windows 10 and Steam in early 2016. The game will be a console exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360 for one year after its initial launch, coming to PlayStation® 4 (PS4) in Holiday 2016. Renowned developer Crystal Dynamics, a Square Enix studio, is leading development in the latest entry in the iconic series for additional platforms."

Rise of the Tomb Raider is scheduled to release first on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 this Holiday.

Strange. Why are they telling this before the X1 release? The timing is so wrong.

It makes sense. They don't want to compete with Uncharted.

This is how you punish a fanbase that buys these games the most.

Bad.. bad news for Microsoft's XBOX division right here :P. I'm glad the game will eventually come to PC and especially the PS4. But nope, no thanks. I'm lookin forward to NieR and Star Ocean 5 than this.

You know, while there would still be frustration, it wouldn't have been as loud and outraged if they would have said this right up front.

Remember how this franchise STARTED on Playstation? Lara was a console mascot essentially, along with Crash and Spyro. The last game even sold WAY more on PS3 than 360. The Xbone is selling half as many units. There are so many reasons why this is such an annoying big fuck you to Playstation owners. Microsoft sure must love slinging money around.

The franchise was PS exclusive early on because of a moneyhat. Try again.

Guess what? Final Fantasy started on the Nintendo Entertainment Systemm, now it isn't even on Nintendo systems. Be lucky and stop complaining.

I had Tomb Raider 1 on my Sega Saturn back then. But anyways, yeah It's a big fuck you to PS4 owners by Square-Enix. I'll just pirate my copy on PC instead of waiting a year to play on my PS4.

The Definitive edition supposedly sold higher on PS4 than XB1 as well. It was definitely an odd business decision.

And it was initially released on PC, Sega Saturn, and Playstation. It started multi-platform and I feel should stay multi-platform. I can wait a year for it, though.
