Keiji Inafune Launches RED ASH Kickstarter Campaign - News
by Jared Katz , posted on 04 July 2015 / 4,443 ViewsYesterday we covered the news story of Keiji Inafune teasing a new project called RED ASH. Today RED ASH has been confirmed to be a game and Inafune has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the title.
Unlike Mighty No.9, which is a spiritual successor to Mega Man, this game is a spiritual successor to Mega Man Legends.
The team for this project includes Art Director Kazushi Ito (Mega Man Legends, Ape Escape 3), Game Director Masahiro Yasuma (Mega Man Legends, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne), Lead Background Artist Miki Kijima (Mega Man Legends, Mega Man Battle Network), and Composer Manami Matsumae (Mega Man, Shovel Knight).
The RED ASH Kickstarter needs to raise $800,000 to be successful (it's currently at $35,000+). This will fund the first three episodes of the game.
The team aims to release the game on PC (later stretch goals should include console ports) in the summer of 2017.

Can't wait to see gameplay.
I'd rather see gameplay from the other kickstarted games first and see how those end up in comparison to how they are promised at the start.
Missing the platforms on which the vast, vast, vast majority of fans would actually play the game.
$89 minimum for a copy someone can actually own
lolno Try again.
I'll have to see gameplay before I make judgment.
action adventure rpg with elements of a shooter you say? intresting.
Basically Mega Man Legends.
by the way Inafune you got enough couple million in your account (dont see why you need kickstarter)
sorry Inafune you wont get me again like you did with mighty number 9
(you screw all backer by giving the exclusive part of game to all now and they pay less then I)
sorry you wont get my money again (i get it went it be at 75% sale later on
So... what? Was Mighty No.9 dead on arrival then? Or what?
No, just at the end of development. Which means that those who have already finished their part in the project (like concept artists, for example) now need another one to keep them occupied
I adored the megaman legends games, but I so loathe kickstarter.
Best thing to happen to gaming is kickstarter.
