Wii was a true monster.

That it was. If it hadn't plummeted in sales at the end, it could have eventually passed ps2..... (Doubtful though lol). I wonder if any console will beat the ps2

I don't know if another console can sell that long into another generation, because that's what needs to happen again to beat PS2. You have to get like 80% marketshare and last like 12 years.

I just hope all 3 current gen consoles do well. I play xbox mostly, followed by nintendo IP, than PlayStation some. They're all good...even if the wii u is underpowered. Nintendo NX announcement & possible release next year though ;) ...the Wii U will be 4 years old by fall 2016.

Wii will continue to outpace until we hit the point at which people got tired of Wii Sports.

Wii barely broke 100m. PS4 is currently selling less than Wii. Who knows. It might outsell Wii lifetime, it might not. But as of right now, based off of current sales, it won't and will probably only do about 90m.

PS4 cant win this one... at the price dis advantage it has.
I wish they had cut prices at E3.

It will win over time. I don't know how it's so difficult for people to understand this. Wii was on top of the world for it's first few years, before dropping off drastically after 2010. PS4 will outsell it by a significant amount over the long run, as the console isn't even close to peaking.

DialgaMarine is right, plus if the ps4 keeps selling at this rate, it will pass the ps2 (as long as it doesn't drop off quickly) estimates say.

PS4 would be lucky to even gain any ground in the wii's 2011. It's the 2012 and beyond that it will gain ground.

Actually, the Wii began its downward turn in 2008.

actually maybe you're right about 2011. It only sold 10.33 million. Although that's really not that bad just only in comparison to other years.

Wii was selling even faster then PS2 in first year but wasn't able to outsell it
