Capcom is expecting the majority of its revenue in the fiscal year ending March 2016 to come from digital sales, Capcom president COO and Haruhiro Tsujimoto revealed in a financial results briefing.

Capcom sold five million games digitally for fiscal year 2015 and expects to sell seven million games digitally in fiscal year 2016. That is compared to an expected six million games sold at retail.

That HD RE is digital only and Deep Down is probably digital only...ofc its gonna overtake physical if your offering games only digitally.

If it's Digital I don't buy them. I just wait for Plus to give it to me for free.

If Capcom goes digital only then I'm no longer supporting them.

Guess it's time for me to retire from capcom. Digital only releases are NOT ok.

Hmmm, I wonder why? Perhaps it´s because developers are starting to release games digitally only in some regions. Most of the Vita games are sold digitally only in Europe, and Capcom released Resident Evil 1 HD digitally only in Europe. Every other region got it physically and digitally, but we got it only digitally.

Never been a fan of digital. Hated it actually. Hated the idea and the precedent it was setting... Then this gen happened. So far 8 of my 10 PS4 games are digital.. I've scored some crazy good deals with PS+ and not even the free games. Actually none of the free games have really interested me since I got a PS4 a few months ago but the discounts I've gotten on games I DO want is crazy!!! Since I have my PS3, PS4, and PS Vita I get like 6 free digital games a month (2 for each) and tons of free content and discounts. It's all digital (obviously) and the convenience is amazing. I have 2 disc games for PS4 and it is now slightly annoying having go change the disc. I was a huge fan of having my game collection and library on my shelf to show it off... I did that mostly for me. But now I don't have that.. I have this digital library that I tend to look at a lot more than I did my physical collection. I also play all of my games way more since it's right there.
