343 Industries has cancelled one of its official Halo tournaments after running into connectivity issues with Halo: The Master Chief Collection. There were several issues with players not being able to join games.

"We're aware of and investigating party joinability issues. As a result, we'll be canceling HCS Cup #1, and apologize for the inconvenience," said the developer on Twitter.

This weekend was supposed to mark the start of Season 2 of the Halo Championship Series. The first regular season online cup was supposed to last two days with two different brackets. The matches ran without a problem on Saturday, but ran into issues on Sunday, which caused the cancellation of the tournament.
