Resident Evil HD Remaster Sells 1 Million Copies Worldwide - News
by Craig S , posted on 24 April 2015 / 5,995 ViewsCapcom has announced that Resident Evil HD Remaster has sold 1 million copies worldwide, which appears to be well above internal expectations at the firm ("remarkably high volume for a remastered title").
Resident Evil HD Remaster released on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PC in January, and even managed to break a digital sales record on PSN at the time.
The series as a whole has now sold over 65 million units since the original Resident Evil released back in 1996.

Now how about a physical copy?
the people has spoken ... they want more classic resident evil
Good for Capcom, maybe more remasters should only be 20 bucks.
Not bad :)
Copies? more like downloads
Great. The sales were "above internal expectations" and u guys at Crapcom seem 2b happy about it. Now, how about u cut da bullshit already and announce "Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster"? That's exactly what u shoud've done from the beginning when u announced this first Remastered game, and bundled both together. Also, u shoud've offered said bundle in physical format for customer convenience too, Crapcom. Do that or STFU about the "internal expectations" of ur company. Nobody cares about that!
So, gamecube version still above all combined.
1,000,000รท5 platforms = 200,000. Considering everything those are some very weak sales for a hyped game and one that according to this article broke records on PSN. I wonder what digital sales look like for all games now.
- How is it a hyped game? It's a remaster of a very old game so that argument doesn't really do anything.
- It didn't sell 200,000 on each platform evenly since some obviously sold a lot more.
- The record broken on PSN was for day 1 only in North America and Europe and other games have a sold way more lifetime.
- It was fairly hyped up considering everything. Also it's resident Evil it should have sold preety well and not hit 1 million two months after release on all platforms.
- Still didn't sell at all that well on any platform maybe 500,000 units on the Ps4 at most.
- It still really shows how weak overall digital sales are, if a game can barely hit one million on all platforms ( at best 700,000 0n Ps4 and Ps3 ) after two months and it was the fastest selling game day 1 there's something really worrying.
I dont think sales are good enough. For a high budget oldschool RE again.
