NetherRealm Selling 'Easy Fatalities' for Mortal Kombat X

NetherRealm Selling 'Easy Fatalities' for Mortal Kombat X - News

NetherRealm Studios has chosen to sell "easy fatalities" for its latest fighter, Mortal Kombat X.

As the name implies, the add-on pack allows you to perform fatalities without having the input a complex series of combinations. The pack costs $5 on PSN.

The description reads:

"Finish Him! Purchase a pack of Easy Fatalities giving you access to Fatalities with simplified inputs."

Mortal Kombat X launched on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC today.

That defeats the integrity of the classic "input before the time runs out" ordeal. Hmmm..Not sure I like this. I never expected Boon to go in this direction. This isn't good.

Personally I like when I can simply press a button to do a fatality, given fatalities aren't actually part of the match. However, charging for that feature is gross so I wont buy it. I already paid 60 bucks, let me have that free.

Seems tekken is the only fighting game, dlc and microtransaction free

I'm pretty sure you can unlock Easy Fatalities in the game. I might be wrong on that though.

This is DLC done wrong.

And if this were featured on WiiU, I can only imagine what people would say about this decision and dumbing down for Nintendo.

I am sure someone will buy into it and see it as a good thing, and that is enough to justify the product.

Thats a lame argument. It can still be a complex fighting game that requires skill even with easy fatalities. Simply because fatalities occur when the match is over, they have little to do with skill.
