Halo and Destiny Dev Joins Bethesda - News

"Next Friday, after nearly 6 amazing years and w/ REACH & Destiny on the shelf, I say goodbye to my Bungie family... A new adventure awaits!," tweeted Hamrick. "To both my Bungie family & our fans (looking at you 7th Column), from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! It's been an honor and a pleasure."
"I'll miss Bungie more than words can tell, but I'm excited about both new challenges and being much closer to our hometown and our family," added Hamrick. "Love you Bungie! Thanks for millions of great memories. Keep kicking ass! Always & forever your biggest fan."
"Bethesda! It's Bethesda! I'm going to @BethesdaStudios and I'm super stoked about it!! :-). I hope you'll continue to follow along with me!," said Hamrick.
Hamrick had previously worked at Midway Studios in Austin as an engineer and designer. He was hired by Bungie in 2009.

A dev who joined Bungie past their prime and was part of the development of the two worst Bungie games. Now this guy is joining Bethesda which for me is the only AAA dev that I still hold highly. Hopefully he's not important enough to ruin any of Bethesda's project. There's nothing new here though. AAA studios always just play musical chairs with their talent which is why the industry has become more stagnant. Hopefully, he's no where near important to the top at whatever Bethesda project he is part of.
I loved the Fallout games, but the one thing that bothered me was the first person shooting. I loved the VATS system and while they did improve the shooting in Fallout New Vegas I still found it lacking.
If we could get shooting mechanics as strong as those in Destiny and Halo that would be huge for the Fallout series.
