MMO developer Perfect World Entertainment has been hit with massive layoffs, according to a report from Massively Overpowered. Ben PerLee had tweeted about the layoffs, but it has since been deleted.

"So I got laid off yesterday, but on the bright side I have more time to practice for the $100k tournament," tweeted Miller confirming at least one person had been laid off.

Perfect World Entertainment was formed in 2008 and currently runs 13 games. They are best known for publishing Star Trek Online and Torchlight.
