by William D'Angelo , posted on 19 March 2015 / 4,550 ViewsSony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that the closed beta for the PlayStation Now streaming service will start this Spring in the UK. There is currently open registration to anyone who is a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
"No, inclusion in the private beta won’t cost you anything – nor will any game rentals you take out during the initial stage of the private beta trial," said Sony when asked if it would cost money to take part in the beta. "However, later stages of the private beta will be used to test payment models and rental periods, which will require payment."
Sony recommends people to have an internet speed of at least 5 Mbps. People will also need an SEN account and PlayStation Plus membership. Anyone who is chosen will be sent a voucher code to be able to download the PlayStation Now beta app. The beta is also only happening on the PlayStation 4.
