Dota 2 Owners Jump 85% YoY to Over 42 Million - News

Steam's growth has been well documented. Valve recently announced there are more than 125 million active accounts for Steam. This has helped the success of the MOBA game Dota 2. The game reached 42.9 million owners, according to GamesIndustry. This is nearly double the 24 million owners in February 2014.

The number of Dota 2 monthly active users has also increased year-over-year. The number of has increased to 10.9 million, from 7.1 million a year ago. That is a 54 percent increase. There has also been eight million players that have played over 140 hours of the game.
