The charts include comparisons between the 7th generation and 8th generation, as well as comparing the 8th generation consoles. All sales are worldwide, unless otherwise stated.

Gap change in latest month: 1,744,919 – Xbox One
Gap change over last 12 months: 3,714,734 – Xbox One
Total Lead: 1,120,030 – Xbox One
Xbox One Total Sales: 8,929,035
Wii U Total Sales: 7,809,005
In November 2014 the Xbox One has taken the lead over its rival the Wii U. The Xbox One outsold the Wii U by 1.74 million units in November 2014 and outsold the Wii U by 3.71 million units in the last 12 months. The Xbox One currently leads by 1.12 million units.
The Xbox One launched in North America and Europe on November 22. The Wii U launched in November 2012. The Wii U has sold 7.81 million units to date, while the Xbox One has sold 8.93 million units.
