Halo: The Master Chief Collection has had many problems since its release last month. Developer 343 Industries has been hard at work fixing the problems that have plagued the game online matchmaking.

"This has been a humbling experience and highlighted how we as a studio can – and need – to do better for Xbox fans around the world, said 343 Industries boss Bonnie Ross has issued a statement.  "We are so grateful to our fans who have stood by our side and we appreciate all of your patience as we worked through these issues."

343 Industries will be giving away three things for free to anyone who played Halo: The Master Chief Collection online from November 11 until December 19. The free things include 1 month of Xbox Live Gold, an exclusive in-game nameplate and an exclusive in-game avatar.

Ross also announced that they will be bringing Halo 3: ODST to the Xbox One for free to anyone who played Halo: The Master Chief Collection from November 11 until December 19. The game will be updated to run at 1080p and 60fps. It will be made available at a later date through Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

343 is also reimagining the Halo 2 map Relic. It will feature updated graphics and run at 60fps and 1080p. The map will be made available for free.

"The satisfaction and joy of our fans is absolutely critical to everyone at 343 Industries and we regret the issues and the frustration you have endured," said Ross.  "We are truly sorry and thank you for your continued patience and support of the Halo franchise."

There will be another update to Halo: The Master Chief Collection that will be released next week. It will add all 10 episodes of "Spartan Ops" for Halo 4 and fix more issues.

Sounds like the plan is to sell ODST for users beyond Dec 19. I hope they add Reach eventually as well. We need more Halo 2 Anniversary maps as too. MCC is great as is, but still more potential.

Solid..... MCC has been better, but not flawless lately. Instead of 10min searches it has been reduced to a couple minutes or less. Still have some issues though.
