2014 has been the year of the re-releases for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Wii U. 2015 looks to continue that trend with the release of Ninja Theory's DmC: Definitive Edition.

The game is set to release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 17 for £29.99. The game will run at 1080p, 60fps and feature updated cinematics, textures, skins, and characters. It will also include all the DLC for the game.

"DmC: Definitive Edition does what is says in its name," said Ninja Theory's product development manager Dominic Matthews. "It delivers the definitive DmC experience. We’ve revisited DmC: Devil May Cry and improved, optimised and added to the game. When creating the original DmC there were improvements that we wanted to make, but never got the chance to. In DmC Definitive Edition we have made those improvements."

"We’ve taken on-board player feedback and implemented many of the most requested features. In addition, we’ve given DmC a full next-gen make over, with up-rezzed graphics and a silky smooth running speed of 60fps at 1080p. DmC Definitive Edition also comes bundled with all released DLC and a host of new modes."

How about remasters of the three games of the series that didn't piss most of the fanbase off? Or perhaps someone should look into getting permission to port a higher-end version of Bioshock Infinite to the new consoles? Why this game, which already caused widespread rage the last time it launched???

"2014 has been the year of the re-releases for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Wii U."
Sorry but this line bothers me.
Sure the Playstation 4 and Xbox One have had plenty of re-releases/remastered games; the Wii U on the other hand has had mostly new games. Essentially the main remaster the Wii U got was in 2013, and that game was the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD.

No such releases have been made this year apart from the virtual console titles on the eShop.

2015 had Sleeping Dogs and DmC remastered confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One, so the trend of remasters is continuing for them, the Wii U however has no remasters confirmed at this point, only mere speculation.
