Publisher Activision has released an infographic revealing some big numbers for the Call of Duty franchise, as well as details about Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
More than 125 million players have played games in the Call of Duty franchise. Activision pointed out that is more than the combined population of the 300 biggest cities in the US. Players have also earned more than one quadrillion experience.
When you look at Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare people spent more than five million hours watching the game in its first week. There has been 16.1 billion jumps, which is equivalent to 230 trips to the moon. Players also received 285 million loot items.

~300 million in actual game sales would imply each person who has played CoD has only played 2.4 of the CoD games, on average. If VGC is approx right about physical game sales and Digital sales across all the games is significantly greater than 100 million then that average might get up to 3 games per person. It's possible but I think a lot of people played more than 4 and probably 5 or even now 6 of the CoD games
That's a big number. Props to them, but I'm unclear on the 125 million figure. Is that 125 million individuals? Meaning the guy who bought and played Black Ops and Modern Warfare aren't counted as two persons?
