Far Cry 4 set a new record for the franchise in the UK. The game had the best ever first week sales by a good margin, according to data from GfK Chart-Track and reported by GamesIndustry. It is also good to note that GfK Chart-Track does not keep track of PC sales.

Grand Theft Auto was the bestselling game of the week and set a new record as the bestselling game of all time in the UK. Electronic Arts' Dragon Age: Inquisition debuted at number five on the charts and had sales fairly similar to Dragon Age II.

Last week's number one Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare dropped two spots number three this week, while FIFA 15 remained in the fourth spot. Assassin's Creed Unity dropped from number two to number six this week. WWE 2K15 jumped from the 20th position up to number seven.

The other three games in the top 10 all saw sales drop. LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham saw a drop from number five last week to number eight this week. Minecraft: PlayStation Edition dropped two spots to Number nine, while Halo: The Master Chief Collection dropped from number three to number 10.
