Amiibo Figures Can Only Hold Data for One Game - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 12 November 2014 / 3,942 ViewsNintendo has stated on the Japanese Amiibo page (and reported by CVG) that the Amiibo figures can only hold data from one game at a time. Although Nintendo did say that an Amiibo figure with data stored on it can be used for read-only games that unlock secret items.
"If you wish to use the data from other read/write compatible software, please erase the data in the 'Amiibo settings' section of the Wii U settings menu," read the Japanese Amiibo page.
The third and fourth waves of Amiibo figures were announced earlier this week. They are set to launch in Japan in early 2015. The characters include Sonic, Bowser and Mega Man.
