Microsoft Closes Xbox Entertainment Studios - News

Microsoft in July of this said it will be closing its Xbox Entertainment Studios later in the year. Today, Microsoft announced in a statement to GamesIndustry that Xbox Entertainment Studios has officially closed.

"Yes, we can confirm that Xbox Entertainment Studios has closed as part of the companywide restructuring announced by Microsoft last July," said Microsoft in a statement. "Xbox Entertainment Studios has officially closed. Nancy and Jordan were key members and visionaries for the XES team, and we thank them for their leadership and many contributions."

As part of the closure Nancy Tellem and Jordan Levin who headed up the Xbox Entertainment Studios has been let go.

I'm surprised that idea even got off the ground. Nobody buys a game console for exclusive programming.

someone know if the xbxo documentary about the E.T. games found in the desert was finished and how to see it ? i suppose that was the only legacy this estudios had, it would be a shame that gets unfinished, more because i played the game on its time and was one of the E.T. victims :P
