I'd like to see a PSP vs 3DS chart. Makes for a more interesting comparison.

These low number for Vita are sad. It's an amazing device.

And to think it was ahead of PSP at one point for the first 4 months than dropped like a rock. However people fail to realize that PSP sold extremely well and had franchises like Monster Hunter that Sony lost. It's sad, but it's the harsh reality. :(

Selling 1/3 of PSP sales is not so bad. Hopefully it will become the second best selling non-Ninty handheld, and that's a good enough title already.

It has good MH-like games like Toukiden and Soul Sacrifice. And at least they're new IPs
also has better JRPGs than FF..

I hate Monster Hunter and like Soul Sacrifice(which it's not like MH at all) but it doesn’t change the fact that people buy consoles for those big IPs

You can't blame people for not buying it when Sony's not putting any effort into the thing. If you're not into those kinds of Japanese games, there is no reason to buy it.

I agree with JWeinCom. PS Vita was "sold" to us like a "almost PS3 in your pocket", making us having fantasies of games like Bioshock (which was rumoured to comme on PS Vita), Fallout, Elder Scrolls etc, not all those childish japanese stuff with 15 years outdated graphics or indie games (some are pretty cool, but that's not why I put 300 bucks in the console)... Sony makes a big mistake by stoping support for the PS Vita, now that the console has quite a good price (almost as cheap as a 3DS), it would be the perfect moment to release one or two killer-app, such as a new Uncharted (the first came out at a time when the console was too expensive), or a new God Of War, with a strong advertisment campaign... I'm pretty sure it could give a real boost... but if Sony doesn't give the PS Vita high-standard games, nobody will take a look at it...

Vita just doesn't have the software. And a lot of the "techies" that I knew in high school in the early 2000s that were bragging about their PSP were all about the software emulation, watching portable movies, etc. Very few of them were interested in actual exclusive software. So, Vita is doing alright in Japan, because Japan loves handhelds and because Sony Japan is pumping out Japan-centric games, but elsewhere the audience for a high-end Sony handheld has completely moved on to tablets and high-end smartphones. A lot of people my age (27) just laugh at the idea of a video game handheld nowadays. The market conditions have completely changed.

You really thinks people who buy PSP for God of war,Mgs etc moved to tablets those people didn't buy a Vita because the lack of there favourite game
