These Wii vs WiiU graphs are pointless. The WiiU won't sell as many consoles and we know this now. Nintendo haven't followed up a console success since the NES with the SNES. Then came 64 and sold less, Gamecube even worse, then Wii ruled the world and the WiiU is now struggling as it was destined to do. I will probably buy my WiiU this year because no mather the poor sales it's a good console that have and will get even more great games. Mario Kart 8, Zelda and other Mario games is enough for me to buy it but I'm hoping it can pick up the pace and follow PS4, X-Box One at least some for the next years.

"The gap is expected to continue to grow in the next month."

I would pretty much say that's a guarantee and that it'll never come close to Wii sales ... the gap is going to be 40m+ by the end of the year.

The Wii sold 43 milion in 2 years, and the Wii U now sold 5,9 milion.
43 - 5,9 = 37,1 milion...
Although by now sells Wii U 0 units at week, the gap the gap would be less than 40 million. ._."
For me the gap to the end of year will 30 milion + or - ...

What a crappy article... We know the Wii U is doing badly, worse than the Wii... IS THAT NEWS TO ANYONE???

How about a meaningfull chart like PS4 vs the Wii, as far as I know the Wii should be pulling pretty far ahead of the PS4 about now. Then you can talk about how the PS4 demand is plumetting or the production limit is woefully low. Oh wait, that would be an intelligent article that people care about....
