Why does it show a picture of the DS instead of the Vita?

torok (on 24 January 2014)

They probably google DS and grabbed the first thing they saw.

Nintendo is doomed, right guys?

Kaizar (on 24 January 2014)

As doomed as 3D & especially Glasses-Free 3D. Which explains the sells of the 3DS, and 3D Movies like Gravity and 3D TVs Year-on-Year sells.

It's common knowledge that home consoles either give more profit/have much more costs to make than handhelds. Vita is neither a great loss neither a great investment. All in all, WiiU is doing much worse

I think we got that the first time you posted it! It's either a glitch or you really want everybody out there to know this!

@late_release uh no not when your talking about the Vita lol. It started off at 250 dollars and it was selling a huge loss and after the price drop its still selling at a loss. Home console are more expensive to make and have much thin profit margins if they do at all, however the Vita is as expensive as home console and it doesn't make any profit.

Handhelds are Dead Nintendo: lol what?

MohammadBadir (on 25 January 2014)

i said it once and i'll say it again, if the only way to downplay the 3DS's sales is to compare it to the best selling handheld of all time, you know you've got a winner.

Michael-5 (on 27 January 2014)

Considering the 3DS is the successor to the best selling hand held of all time, is it really a winner? Also GBA sold better in 3 years as well (but then died fast after being replaced)

Lol at Vita... so doomed...

chase123 (on 25 January 2014)

It's quite a shame really, would have loved to play Skyrim like RPG's on the go would have only happened if install base was large, but seeing these sales, majority of the people like to play nintendo only ip's on handhelds.Such a shame.Only the PS Vita is capable of replicating console-like gameplay on a handheld but no one gives it a chance.

Vita would have done well if Sony made some exclusive console like experiences on the Vita. Gran Turismo could still save it, GT saves everything.

My pevision to fine year: 3DS=58 milion PSV=12 milion Gap=46 milion

camaro52391 (on 24 January 2014)

I'm not saying handhelds are doomed, but smartphones definitely took a chunk of the market. The 3ds is selling well but not like the ds did. The ds has 3 straight years of 27+ million and the 3ds' first 3 years have been about 14 million each

ganoncrotch (on 25 January 2014)

whoa that's a lotta red thumbs for pointing out this is pretty sad to see. I don't get why people disagree with this point... surely can't be this happy the vita is dying a death? tis a good lil system.
