Walt Disney Company chairman and CEO Bob Iger during a post-earnings release conference call last week revealed that the Disney Infinity starter packs have sold more than one million units. The starter pack retails for $75. The most popular figures for the game have been sold out at most retailers.

The popularity of Disney Infinity helped turn Disney Interactive out of the red. Revenue for the quarter ending September 30 increased 93 percent to $396 million. Profits for the quarter reached $16, which is up from a loss of $76 million during the same quarter a year ago.

For the full fiscal year, revenue for Disney Interactive increased 26 percent year-over-year to $1.1 billion. Losses were also cut by 60 percent from $216 million a year ago to $87 million.

The Walt Disney Company also saw improved numbers for the full fiscal year. Revenue increased seven percent year-over-year to $45.04 million. Profits increased eight percent to $6.14 billion.

I suspect they made $16 million, not $16, for the quarter.
