so far all of the 3 8th gen platforms that are out are at a 10 million gap between them and their predecessors. i hope this trend doesn't continue, maybe the guys who said that the 8th gen will be the first gen where the market shrinks were right. fucking rubbish smartphones. fuck apple. they're ruining gaming with their overpriced hardware.

Odd. It's not that different from the 3DS/DS gap, but the lower numbers of both PS systems make it seem far worse.

3DS is behind because it launched in the spring where DS launched in the fall. DS hits the holiday season a few months earlier, making a large negative spike right before 3DS hits the holiday season. PSV is just doomed.

So PSV is selling 1/3rd as well as PSP? That means what 25 million or so units lifetime? Sounds right, not a complete fail.

bad but not completely terrible, while 6 million in about 2 years is not great it is somewhat respectable, Sony should have focused on making big exclusives for PS Vita instead of focusing too much on PS3
