GameStop: PlayStation 4 to Launch Globally in 2013 - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 02 April 2013 / 5,930 ViewsGameStop executive vice president Michael Hogan spoke to investors at the retailer's fourth quarter earnings call, which took place last week. Seeking Alpha has a transcript of the call. Hogan stated that Sony is planning on launching the PlayStation 4 globally in 2013. This is a change from the PlayStation 3 which launched in North America and Japan in holiday 2006, but wasn't released until March 2007.
"We know that Sony will introduce the PlayStation 4 globally in 2013, but we are still waiting to see what Microsoft's final plans are," said Hogan. "We have scenarios with one console introduction, as well as with two. Even a single launch in 2013 will drive double-digit console growth in 2014; and two launches would likely drive the console category north of 20 per cent growth."
Hogan also said that GameStop PowerUp Rewards members are looking to purchase a PlayStation 4 more than "new smartphones, new tablets, laptops, et cetera."

well.. he says "introducing", not "lauching". We all know that will happen on E3. Now, if that´s true, than we can expect a really rushed launch.

Is it just me, or does that sentence not make sense?
I realy don't think PS4 is a rushed cnsole. Look at Microsoft they are not even thinking of even luanching the next XBox this year. Sony will be fine I think Ms need to hurry up and wrk there asses.
