With this weeks sales, Animal Crossing is now the best selling game for 3DS in Japan. I wonder how it will fair in the rest of the world.

the_dengle (on 03 January 2013)

3DS software back ahead of DS... will it stay that way this time? No more Pokémon to upset the balance, a sizable 3DS install base, lots of releases coming up...

ganoncrotch (on 04 January 2013)

aye the 3ds is just off the charts in the handhelds... 1.1 million in a single week, that is 1/4 the lifetime sales of the Vita so far in a single week. I know the 3ds is like crack for kids and it's christmas but I never thought it'd sell that number.

KHlover (on 03 January 2013)

Yeah, it managed to surpass the few weeks it was released in Japan 2011. Still disappointing sales (10 Mio. anyone?)

Michael-5 (on 04 January 2013)

I think Vita is capable of getting 30 Million lifetime at this rate, but you never know.

"The PlayStation Vita is also the only platform to be up year on year." That's right bitches!

cbarroso09 (on 03 January 2013)

keep reading, "because it was only available on Japan last year"
