Wow, only 2 of the top 10 aren't shooters, although you do shoot in FIFA.

I don't think MGS4 and Uncharted count as FPS

Well They certainly aren't typical shooters, I can see why people wouldn't want them categorised with COD and Battlefield.

If you define a shooter as "a game in which the player regularly shoots enemies with a gun," then yeah, they're shooters. Sure, they're different kinds of shooters than COD or Battlefield, but... well, in the end, apples and oranges are both fruits.

The point is that 8/10 of these games feature a lot of shooting people with guns. As opposed to head-stomping, sword-cutting, fist-punching, whip-whipping, or OBJECTing. So basically, they're American.

God of War III will pass Metal Gear Solid 4, Fifa 12, Call of Duty: MW and probably Uncharted 2 if that doesn't pick up pace and have a Trilogy edition released soon to help sales increase.

Vgchartz has God of War III under-tracked by almost 1 million units, It was confirmed by Sony to have sold 5.2 million by the end of May this year. And I think with the bargain of the generation releasing tomorrow known as the God of War Saga (includes all 5 games) and God of War: Ascension hype building up, God of War III will pass 6.5 million lifetime.

Also, when will Vgchartz finally fix God of War III's numbers? I asked ioi and got nothing and I can't even comment on the games wall to let people looking at it's sales know how massively under-tracked it is. Sort this out please.

WOW at FIFA 2012! I know it sold really well (best selling in the series I think), but not enough to enter the PS3's top 10! Also, COD has taken over the entire 10m sellers club, but GTA4 will likely crash the party soon ;)

Consumers have spoken. 40 million COD sales just in the PS3 top 10.

It has effectively substituted cops'n'robbers for the 10+ years olds it would seem, and their parents are probably happy about it. You know where they are when they're playing, and at least they aren't in a gang.

This list is dated. It's clear that UC3 and GOW3 are above 5 Million.
